Final Fantasy VII Crisis Core; Reunion (Playstation 5)
Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core Reunion is the prime example of how remakes should be made. Square Enix does it again with this nostalgia title. I remember playing the original version on PSP and already thought the game was ahead of it's time. Playing now, is refreshing in every way. The gameplay is addictive, the story is amazing, the graphics are beautiful, and the music is on point all the way through. I may fall victim to being biased, but this game seems to be the perfect execution of any remake that's been done. It's great for returing fans, and...
Star Ocean: The Divine Force Review (Playstation 5)
Story - This story felt like a throwback to everything Star Ocean. I felt like I was playing 'til the end of time. I love the dual protagonist system, but I hate that it makes you play the game all over from scratch for the second character. I would've much rather a dual path system in a single playthrough. When the characters split, you get to play one character, and then play the other character to get the full story. But unfortunately, you miss the other half of the story unless you play the game all over again. I'm simply...
Asterigos Review (Playstation 5)
Story - Asterigos actually had a pretty interesting story. Most of the time I loved all the side stories and how they could have different outcomes based on your decisions or how you did things. It was a bit annoying when they game gave absolutely no direction and it ended up making the mission go sideways. I wish they didn't pull a dark souls, and have most of the story in the form of documental lore. It made the game feel dragged on, especially if you're a completionist. Gameplay - I loved all of the different play styles you could...
Trek to Yomi Review (Playstation 5)
Story - I need to give it some slack for being an indie game. I was a cool story, but if you wrote it as a book, it would be 20 pages max. It felt extremely short, but it did a great job in the little time they gave you. Which is ironic, because at times it felt like it was dragging on. Because you kept feeling like it was the end, but it wasn't. I did enjoy that they had english VA's. It was getting difficult to enjoy the story when I had to read as well as fight....
Soul Hackers 2 Review (Playstation 5)
Story - The story was okay. I wanted to really like it, and for the most part I did, but at time it felt dragged on, and I actually found myself falling asleep. With my love for the Persona series, I expected to love the world and all the story elements, but for some reason, I found myself skipping a lot of the extra dialog. I couldn't find the characters interesting enough to care. And if you simplify the story, it really is similar to Persona 5. Just compare soul hacking, to stealing someone's heart. Gameplay - I was really...
