Game Review, Playstation 5, PS5, Review, Team17, Thymesia -

Thymesia the gothic souls-like rpg from team17 is pretty much what you'd expect from an indie made souls like game. It was actually pretty addicting, and had an interesting story, as short as it was. I really enjoyed the semi-open environments, and the combat was pretty thrilling. I wish there was any sort of map system, because even though it was pretty linear, there were times when I spent a good amount of time running around in a circle and didn't realize it, but I guess that's just a testament to the environment. The boss cinematics were done really well....

Game Review, Playstation 5, PS5, Review, Swan Song, Vampire Masquerade SwanSong -

Vampire: The Masquerade - Swan Song the super detective narrative developed by Big Bad Wolf, has the all the makings of an awesome game, but just didn't hit the mark. It has the story, and the potential, but at every point it just fell short. I liked the story, but it was so lore heavy that I found myself not caring about anything. It seemed to focus more on lore, than the actual story of the game. The entirety of the story, was like a side mission in any other game. It was 8 hours of "We're being hunted, whose...

Game Review, Playstation 5, PS5, Review, The Quarry -

The Quarry; 2K's great successor to Until Dawn. It hit a lot of great points for the thriller narrative game it was trying to be. The visuals are beautiful, the story was actually pretty cool, it has a great cast, and overall I couldn't stop playing. These kind of games are definitely an acquired taste due to the fact that, there's really little "playing". It's all decisions, QTEs, with a little collectible hunting mixed in. When compared to Until Dawn, the story was much better, but Until Dawn comes out on top, in terms of horror. I didn't get scared...

Game Review, Playstation 5, Review, Sifu, SloClap -

From the developer Sloclap comes the beat'em up fighter Sifu. This game takes an interesting route in the way of fighters. You're essentially Immortal until you reach a certain aged, caused by losing a number of times. The graphics are beautiful, it was like playing through living art. The story is cool, but I felt like it was very quick and vague. I was invested but then it left a lot up to interpretation. This game would be amazing if it were a AAA title rather than an indie title. The difficulty was a big problem for most players, but...

Game Review, Ghostwire, Playstation 5, ps5, Review, tokyo -

Bethesda's 2022 title: Ghostwire: Tokyo, a game like all the rest, but cooler. This game had amazing visuals tied in with an okay, yet interesting story. It felt like Dishonored, with dulled down bioshock powers. But I have to admit the interesting take on everything made up for all the familiarity. I wish they had done more than the short 6 chapters. The story itself was maybe 3-5 hours long, but the game is riddled with countless collectibles and activities that it makes the game a bit longer. Though I will say, I feel like they over did it with...
