Stranger of Paradise Review (PS5)
Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin, Square Enix's newest installment in the final fantasy series. Before playing this game, it was thought to be a retelling of the first final fantasy, spoiler alert it's actually a prequel to the first game. It doesn't play like your normal final fantasy game. Which for me, wasn't a problem. Yeah, I'm part of the hive that's obsessed with Final Fantasy VII and the open world adventure aspect, but this game came at a perfect time. I really just wanted a game with a good story and nonstop fun combat, which is everything this game is. The story seems weird but if you're paying attention, and are a fan of the series it's actually amazing. I was hoping for more a bit better graffics, and the no map dungeon crawling was a bit annoying and confusing at times, but overall the game was solid. The dungeon-dungeon aspect killed it for a lot of gamers, but I liked that they did something quick and to the point. Not every game has to have 100 hours of gameplay to be awesome. This is definitely one for the fans.
