Attack on Titan 2 Review (PS4)
The second installment of Attack on Titan made us all excited after playing through the first one, which felt like playing a straight video game version of the anime. Unfortunately, the second game took a weird turn. Instead of playing where the first one left off, you start over from the very beginning as a custom, non-canon character. It's very cool concept, but let me in a kind of "meh" mood because I was excited to play the story as the main characters. Upon my research, I discovered the creators saw their mistake and actually release DLC and a complete version of this game that includes such a mode. Sadly, I didn't get that version, and have no drive to get it. The gameplay is as fun as the fiirst game, the cutscenes are done much better, and I love the more open home base map. In those regards, it's actually the perfect sequel. Just wish they didn't divert from the canon story.
